Some Common Web Design Questions

Q. What are the benefits of having on page optimisation included and set up from the beginning?

A. Google and other Search Engines have some standard guidelines they look at when searching and scanning pages, many websites don’t have these set up from the very beginning so are slower to be picked by Search Engines.  If we include basic optimisation from the beginning it gives you a better chance to be listed with Google and put ahead of other websites that aren’t following the ‘Google Rules’

Q. How many changes can I request be made to the design after I’ve see the first draft?

A. My goal is to leave you with a site you are completely happy with, so I like to make as many changes as necessary (within reason) to create a finished product you absolutely love.

Q. I know I will need a larger site down the track however for now I only need around 5 or 6 pages, is it beneficial for me to purchase the larger website package to begin with and add the extra pages at a later date, or should I just purchase the smaller site to begin with and pay individually for the extra pages when I have them ready?

A. If you know that within the next 12-18 months you are going to need to add an extra 5 pages or more than it is absolutely beneficial to go for the larger website package up front.  You will have an 18 month period to add the extra pages you have requested and purchased initially.

Alternatively if you purchase the smaller price website and need to add pages at a later date then you’ll have to pay full price for each extra page ($75/page).

The other option is to look at requesting a content managed site where you can add / remove and change pages at your own liberty.

Q. What happens if I don’t add all the pages I’ve paid for within the 18 month period?

A.18 months is a reasonable amount of time to get the pages ready, however if they aren’t ready within the 18 month period you will simply pay an administration fee of $10 / page when the pages are ready

Alternatively if within the 18 month period you realise you aren’t going to have all the pages ready you can simply request to upgrade to content management and have the balance transferred over to setting up content management ($250 + $25 / month)
